Gandalf is a wise and powerful wizard belonging to the immortal order of the Istari. He is an endless traveler between kingdoms and peoples to protect Middle-earth from the tyranny of the Dark Lord. At the beginning of The Lord of the Rings, he is the one who determines with certainty that the ring Frodo possesses belongs to Sauron. For a long time, he wove the events of Middle-earth through his mysterious arrivals and departures and organized the plan for the Ring to leave the Shire, but could not reach Frodo in time due to obstacles such as Saruman's betrayal. He is a massive source of spiritual strength and a light of hope when it comes to the darkest dangers.
He is a figure who came to Middle-earth in ancient times and whose true origin dates back to the Maiar, the great spirits. His purpose for coming is to instill hope and guidance against the evil dark power. He spent years researching the lore of the Ring and found the only truth in forgotten scrolls.
He has the appearance of an old, worn-out elder with a long and shabby pale gray robe, a pointed blue hat, silver-colored beard, and white hair falling to his chest. His shoulders are broad and his dark eyes under thick eyebrows sometimes shine like a fierce flame. He often carries a staff.
