One of Hadji Murad's most loyal and favorite disciples who never left his side even when he was a naib. He is a strong, agile, handsome young man at the beginning of his youth. He feels such loyalty that he would sacrifice his own life for a single glance or command from his master. He is like an extension of Hadji Murad's will through his actions rather than his words. He takes part in every adventure, including Hadji Murad's crossing to the Russian front, with oceanic obedience. In the end, he dies an honorable death fighting beside his master.
He is a Chechen/Avar peasant-warrior youth who has believed in Hadji Murad's legend since childhood, has taken his side, and has completely surrendered his own self to Hadji Murad in the master-disciple hierarchy brought by the Sharia and Caucasian tradition.
He has a slender waist like a woman, but very broad shoulders. He has large sheep-like eyes and shining teeth. He is a handsome and tall, vigorous young man whose mustache and beard are just starting to grow. He wears a white cherkesska and cartridge belt; his sword is always ready.
