Naim Efendi's son-in-law and an inspector of the Public Debt Administration. He is a rootless, Westernized bourgeois who hates everything Turkish, Muslim, and Eastern, and tries to imitate the French in every aspect. After taking control of the house, he discarded all sorts of old furniture and traditions in the mansion, establishing a completely Western-style life. With his gluttonous ambition, snobbery, opportunism, and finally by abandoning his father-in-law and moving to a new apartment in Şişli, he reflects the most caricaturized and repulsive sides of the pre-Republican Istanbul bourgeoisie.
Although he is the son of a deep-rooted lineage (the lineage of the Kazasker), due to his education and the French circles he joined, he has completely rejected his own essence. In his youth, he dreamt of a European life in his room full of pictures of naked women. After the revolution, he became the real master of the mansion and rearranged everything according to his own Westernized standards.
A man in his mid-40s, overly meticulous about his attire and adornment (Western-style), often seen wandering in a dressing gown worn as loungewear; a dandy who occasionally wears face powder and sports a clipped mustache.

He is of the same mindset as his son, finding his son's degenerate lifestyle normal and 'modern'.

He supports his daughter's liberal upbringing, until she creates a scandal and touches upon his 'dignity'.
Naim Efendi
He cannot bear his presence, and while abandoning the mansion, he pins the bill on him without a second thought.

He treats her like a pathetic and rotund piece of furniture, valuing none of her opinions.
