A mysterious and immensely ancient, boundless nature spirit who lives in the depths of the Old Forest with his wife, Goldberry. He was there long before the world, the Elves, the Men, or the Dwarves even existed. Neither the Ring can command him, nor can Sauron understand him; he is completely the master of his own nature. He demonstrated his illimitable power by rescuing the hobbits from Old Man Willow and the Barrow-wights with his songs, without ever needing to fight. He has no stake in the Ring.
He is a spirit who does not enter the history of Middle-earth. He was there long before the first tree seed was sown. He is known as the balancer of nature and 'Eldest and Fatherless'.
He looks like a stout, lively man—as old as soil and water, yet with bright red cheeks like an apple, a smiling face, a long brown beard, and twinkling blue eyes that flash like lightning. He walks with a jaunty, skipping gait, thumping his boots on the ground. He wears a bright blue jacket and large yellow boots, and sports a crown of fresh flowers and leaves.
Altınyemiş
Life companion, daughter of the river. He regards the grace she brings as an ornament to his own nature.
Frodo_Baggins
He sees the Hobbits as small, innocent guests whom he welcomes into his home, which he considers a fortress, because he saved them.
Yaşlı_Söğüt_Adam
One of his subjects whom he keeps in line with a command, like a petulant, forest-dwelling monster tree.
