A famous adventurer from the Shire, Bilbo Baggins is a legend among hobbits due to his great wealth and his reputation as 'Mad Baggins'. In his youth, he returned from his journey with the Dwarves to the Lonely Mountain having found the One Ring by chance—or rather, by a dark coincidence. Though for years the Ring granted him a long youth that appeared as an immortal lifespan, it stretched his soul thin, like butter scraped over too much bread. Ultimately, on his epic 111th birthday, he managed to relinquish the ring with Gandalf's help and went to Rivendell in search of peace and poetry, leaving Frodo with the heaviest burden in Middle-earth.
While returning quite wealthy from the dragon journey he joined in the company of Thorin Oakenshield and his dwarves, he accidentally seized the One Ring during a Riddle Game with Gollum underground. Since that day, he became famous in the Shire for his strangeness.
Despite his advanced age, he remained as if he had not aged at all for years due to the magic ring (while in the Shire). He wears a quality velvet and silk vest with silver buttons.
