He is the boss/head guard of the San-Tash protected area. He is an immoral, tyrannical, and rude man who legally represents the state but acts as a lawless feudal lord in practice. He tries to suppress the void and lack he feels in his inner world due to not having children by beating his wife and terrorizing those around him. Nature is for him merely an object to serve his own position; he brutally destroys the forest and the deer representing the legend just to fawn over his guests and demean his father-in-law.
In his time, he had the chance for an education and wanted to go to the city, but settled for the easy path of becoming a jungle officer in San-Tash. His growing desire to be a city-dweller turned into arrogance, and his arrogance turned into a feeling of being imprisoned in the mountains, making him an alcoholic.
Past middle age, bloated, with a belly sagging from overeating and drinking. He has red, bulging eyes and a thick, red face reminiscent of a cow's udder. He constantly projects the image of a dictator, mounted on horseback with a whip in his hand.
