Gun Club's fiery secretary J.-T. Maston is the most loyal friend left behind when the projectile is launched into space. He has a passion for firearms rather than rocket science. He has taken the task of observing events with a giant telescope. He is so attached to his friends that when he realizes the projectile has fallen into the Ocean, he mobilizes all resources to save them. He often gets excited because of his scientific passion.
A former artilleryman and veteran. He was severely wounded during the Civil War, losing a portion of his skull and his right arm. Although his body was damaged, his enthusiasm never waned.
