A young, showy, and frivolous widow who wanders around the Çamlıca Gardens and excursion spots with Çengi Hanım. In Bihruz's eyes, she has transformed into a French angel symbolizing nobility and decency. In reality, however, she is a common street songbird who likes to talk in slang, pursues entertainment, and takes a fake pleasure in mocking wealthy fops. At the final great moment of revelation in the book, she encounters Bihruz and shatters his groundless fantasy, reflecting the bitter truth. Throughout the text, her true identity is deliberately hidden from Bihruz and the reader by a cloud of illusion.
She is the daughter of Sakin Ağa, a scoop maker (kaşıkçı). After her father died, she passed twenty and went through a husband, only to be separated from him. She lives a middle-class or poor life with her mother in the Karabaş neighborhood. However, because she mixed with malicious or opportunistic women, especially people like Çengi Hanım, she has become an indispensable figure of street scenes, island trips, and ferry excursions, leaving all her chastity behind.
Slender build, wavy and coquettish gait, medium height. Her hair is dyed light blonde with salon dyes (which is why Bihruz calls her 'blond'). Her eyebrows are auburn, her face is somewhat full and slightly flighty. She always wanders with a silk parasol dangling from her hand, exaggerated milk-blue atlas feraci, and cheap but shiny shoes for that era on her feet. To Bihruz, she is a Venus; from the outside, she is an ostentatious woman.
Bihruz Bey
A boring and dim-witted 'fop' who chases after her and gives her nonsensical poems. She only amuses herself with him.

Her confidante and accomplice who accompanies her in fun and opportunistic adventures in life.
