Aramis

Another of Monsieur de Tréville's loyal musketeers. Although he wields a sharp sword, his soul is always inclined toward being a man of the church and studying theology. While he claims he will only become a clergyman 'when an heir arrives at the Queen's throne' or when things get complicated, he is simultaneously immersed in aristocratic intrigues, often linked to scandalous women and mistresses. He is a complex and elegant gentleman who reads Latin and writes theological theses, yet never shies away from a duel.

Athos

Athos is the eldest of the three musketeers and serves as their spiritual leader. He hides his noble past beneath an ordinary knight's jacket and a mysterious silence. Extremely wise, sensible, and steeped in courage, Athos always acts as a balancer among his friends' wild passions. On the day of their first duel, by challenging Monsieur de Jussac and his men despite his heavy wounds, he personified the meaning of being a musketeer. He is a noble character who chose to go to the Bastille of his own volition just to protect D'Artagnan by not revealing his name.

D'Artagnan

D'Artagnan comes from a poor but noble family in the province of Gascony. He sets out for Paris with an heirloom sword his father gave him, a laughable yellow horse, and a letter of recommendation addressed to the captain of the Musketeers. Despite having this letter stolen in the town of Meung by the Cardinal's agent, Rochefort, he does not compromise his courage. With the support provided by Monsieur de Tréville, he adapts to Paris. The fact that he argued with and challenged the kingdom's three fiercest musketeers—Athos, Porthos, and Aramis—to duels one after another in just a single day sums up his impulsive and daring nature. He wins the unbreakable friendship of the trio by joining them in a major clash with the Cardinal's men and demonstrating incredible swordsmanship. Later, he falls passionately in love with the beautiful Madame Bonacieux, a servant of the Queen, and finds himself at the very center of secret, dark missions that will save the state.

Cardinal Richelieu

Armand-Jean Duplessis de Richelieu, Prime Minister of France and the true power behind King Louis XIII. He governs France's domestic and foreign policy with an iron fist. Suspecting the Queen of political infidelity, he seeks to trap her through her love for the Duke of Buckingham, the English ambassador. With his secret police and spies such as La Porte, Rochefort, and Milady, he has established an intelligence network capable of turning the country upside down. He has a contentious relationship with the King based on outward respect. Through his own guards, he is an enemy to Monsieur de Tréville's musketeers.

Madame Bonacieux

Constance, the loyal laundress and confidante of Queen Anne of Austria. Although she is a young and beautiful woman who should remain distant from political matters, because of her loyalty to the Queen, she has been kidnapped by the Cardinal's agents and threatened under torture. Realizing her husband's cowardice and ambition, she entrusts the brave D'Artagnan, who is in love with her, with a secret mission (recovering the diamonds from London) to save the Queen.

Monsieur Bonacieux

D'Artagnan's landlord and the husband of Madame Bonacieux. He is an old, stingy, cowardly, and self-serving haberdasher. His wife being sent to the Bastille because of her secret dealings, followed by his being summoned and threatened by Cardinal Richelieu and bought off with a small bribe, is a portrait of his moral bankruptcy. A man who once trembled before D'Artagnan when asking for rent is now a base pawn of the Cardinal, spying on his own wife under the delusion that he is defending the state.

Porthos

Porthos, one of Monsieur de Tréville's musketeers, draws attention with his immense physique, his fondness for clothing, and his nature of living life with superficial enthusiasm. He loves to inspire admiration in others, so much so that he designed the front of his shoulder belt to be shimmering and the back to be leather to create the illusion that it is gold-plated. He is strong and talks a lot, but he proves his chivalrous spirit by fearlessly taking the lead in every fight. The childlike courage he displayed while beginning the London mission is one of the team's most dynamic aspects.
